DIGITAL GOLD SERVICES
  • What is Digital Gold?
    Digital Gold represents ownership of 24 Karat, 99.9% pure gold securely stored in insured vaults on your behalf. Each unit you buy is backed by actual physical gold.
  • What is the minimum amount to buy Digital Gold?
    You can start investing with as little as ₹1. There is no maximum limit.
  • Is Digital Gold regulated by SEBI or RBI?
    No. Digital Gold is currently not regulated by SEBI or RBI. Investment is at your own discretion based on market conditions.
  • How is my Digital Gold stored?
    It is stored in high-security, fully insured vaults under 24 × 7 surveillance against loss, theft, and disasters.
  • Can I sell my Digital Gold anytime?
    Yes. You can sell anytime at the live market price. Sale proceeds are credited to your registered bank account within 5–7 business days.
  • Can I convert my Digital Gold into physical gold?
    Yes. You can redeem from 1 gram upward into coins, bars, or jewellery. Making, delivery, and GST charges apply.
  • What are the charges for buying Digital Gold?
    3 % GST on purchase value. No extra transaction fee. Minimal storage charges may apply as disclosed in-app.
  • Is KYC mandatory?
    Yes. PAN + Aadhaar verification are required before any buy/sell transaction.
  • What are the tax implications?
    • Short-term (< 3 years): Added to income and taxed per slab
    • Long-term (≥ 3 years): 20 % with indexation
    • GST: 3 % on purchase and redemption

E-COMMERCE SERVICES (JEWELLERY & COINS)
  • What products can I buy?
    Gold & silver jewellery, diamond jewellery, gold and silver coins & bars.
  • Can I use Digital Gold to buy jewellery?
    Not yet. Digital Gold and E-commerce operate separately. You can redeem Digital Gold into coins/bars instead.
  • Are your products hallmarked and certified?
    Yes! All gold and silver jewellery are BIS-hallmarked, and diamond pieces carry gem-lab authenticity certificates.
  • Are 24 K (999) Gold Coins hallmarked?
    Currently, under the BIS Hallmarking Order 2021, **mandatory hallmarking applies only to gold jewellery and artefacts** (14K–24K).
    **Gold coins and bars are presently excluded from compulsory hallmarking**, which is why hallmarking centres do not hallmark 24 K coins.
    However, Precious Goldsmith coins are always made from certified 99.9 % pure gold and carry clear purity marks for assurance.
    Once the government extends hallmarking to coins/bars (proposed in future updates), our products will comply immediately.
  • Do you offer customization?
    Yes – for select items (size, engraving, design). Production takes 7–15 business days.
  • Delivery timelines?
    • Ready-to-ship jewellery: 4–9 days
    • Coins / Bars: 4–9 days
    • Customized jewellery: 10–22 days
    • Diamond jewellery: 5–12 days

    Metro cities receive faster delivery (3–5 days after dispatch).

  • Do you offer free shipping?
    Free on eligible orders. Express delivery available at extra cost.
  • How is my jewellery delivered?
    Through trusted logistics partners (Bluedart, DTDC, Sequel) in tamper-proof, insured packaging with OTP verification.
  • What if I’m not available for delivery?
    Three attempts are made. You may authorize another person with ID and OTP to receive it.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & REFUNDS
  • When can I return or exchange a product?
    If it’s damaged, defective, wrong item, or authenticity issue. Report within 48 hours with photo/video evidence.
  • Can I return if I change my mind?
    Generally no, except for items above ₹50 000 within 7 days with 3–5 % restocking fee.
  • Can I return customized jewellery?
    No, unless the customization error is ours.
  • How do I initiate a return?
    Email contact@preciousgoldsmith.com or call +91 99336 61149 with Order ID and proof. Free pickup arranged.
  • Do you offer lifetime buyback?
    Yes – based on live gold rate and net weight. Making charges excluded.
  • Can I cancel my order?
    E-commerce: Before dispatch.
    Digital Gold: Cannot cancel; use Sell-Back feature.
  • Refund timeline?
    7–10 business days after inspection + 2–3 days bank processing.
  • Free resizing?
    One-time free resizing for rings/bangles within 30 days. You bear shipping to us; return shipping is free.

ACCOUNT & SECURITY
  • Do I need separate accounts for Digital Gold and E-commerce?
    No. One account gives access to both.
  • How to complete KYC?
    Upload PAN, Aadhaar, bank details and selfie. Verified within 24–48 hours.
  • Is my data secure?
    Yes – end-to-end encryption, PCI-DSS payments, no stored card data.
  • Accepted payments?
    UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, wallets.
  • How can I track my orders?
    Via app real-time tracking, email updates, SMS alerts, and courier tracking ID.

PRICING & CHARGES
  • How is the price of Digital Gold determined?
    Linked to live market rates and updated in real time.
  • What are making charges?
    Coins 0.5–5 %, Bars 0.5–3 %, Jewellery 2–15 % of gold value.
  • What is GST?
    Gold/Silver – 3 %; Diamonds – 0.25 %. Subject to Govt. changes.
  • Any hidden charges?
    None – all costs (product, making, delivery, GST) shown upfront.
